Describes itself as t he national peak body representing the needs and interests of family carers. Its membership comprises the individual state and territory Carers Associations. Its function is to build public and Government awareness of carers' needs, to advocate on their behalf and to administer delivery of speci8fic Government funded information and support programs for carers.
