National Farmers' Federation

The National Farmers' Federation is made up of State farm organisations, commodity councils, Associate and Affiliate members.  NFF does not have individual farmer members, but by joining a State farm organisation or national commodity organisation, farmers not only contribute to and support the NFF, but they benefit from NFF's work at a national level.

State farm organisations represent the interests of the agricultural sector in their respective States, national commodity councils represent individual commodities on national issues, and NFF is responsible for national issues which affect more than one State or more than one commodity.

Associate membership is available to producer organisations which are either too small to achieve full membership as a commodity council or state member or are in the process of negotiating full membership of the NFF.

There are two classes of Affiliate membership: Affiliated Agricultural Industries which are industry-associated groups not eligible for admission as commodity council or State or Associate member; and Friends being organisations that wish to maintain an association with the NFF but are not eligible for membership of other categories.
