Kathy Bowlen

Kathy Bowlen has been presenting, and reporting on, Stateline for 8 years. Kathy's Friday night Current Affairs role has also been teamed with newsreading on the weekends.

Kathy has been with the ABC for 17 years, covering local, national and international affairs. Kathy has worked as a senior news journalist and spent several years as a reporter with The 7.30 Report. Kathy also presented the National Breakfast Television News for 18 months and the weekly current affairs show "Asia Focus".

She has produced two half-hour international documentaries, and voiced the award winning "Labor in Power" series.

Kathy began her reporting career at 3AW in Melbourne and was a radio reporter in the Canberra press gallery before joining the ABC.

She holds an Arts degree with majors in media and psychology.

Married with 2 children, Kathy loves cooking, gardening, cycling and weekends off!
