Geoff Brennan brings a decade of high level consulting in the national capital and his former skills as a senior trade envoy/diplomat to his role as Head of the Canberra Office of Gavin Anderson & Company.
He joined Gavin Anderson & Company in late 1995, bringing unique skills in strategic analysis, issues management and negotiating. Geoff had previously served as the senior trade official in the Australian Embassy in Tokyo (1988 to 1992) and in the Australian Embassy in Washington (1993 to 1995).
Following his appointment to Gavin Anderson & Company, Geoff undertook short term appointments with the new Coalition Government including with the then Deputy Prime Minister & Minister for Trade and Industry Minister. He was promoted to Head of the Canberra Office of Gavin Anderson & Company in July 2002.
Geoff has applied his skills to a range of clients across diverse issues such as intellectual property, competition policy reviews, major infrastructure investments, agri-business, industry policy and regulatory issues for foreign companies in Australia.
Geoff was a Guest Lecturer in International Trade Law at Georgetown University in Washington, DC in 1994/95, at the Australian National University in Canberra in 1984 and maintains his links with United States oriented associations and think tanks.
