John Cherry

John Cherry commenced as the Chief Executive Officer of the Queensland Farmers' Federation in July 2005. Mr Cherry served as a Democrat Senator for Queensland (2001-5). He has degrees in Economics and Law, a Masters in Public Administration, and has worked as an economic policy adviser, industrial relations advocate and as a journalist on the Townsville Bulletin in north Queensland. He grew up in regional Queensland and his family has farming interests in the Albert River valley.
