Jennifer joined Gavin Anderson and Company after twenty years combined experience as a journalist (in both electronic and print media) and senior political adviser, working at both the State and Federal level.
Jennifer has worked for both State and Federal Governments in roles including that of senior press secretary to the Federal Minister for Finance and Minister for Industry, Science and Resources, and senior political adviser and senior press secretary to the South Australia Premier.
Her experience includes developing and implementing communication strategies on behalf of Government, including the Federal Government’s $3 billion innovation package, Backing Australia’s Ability, launched in 2001.
She is an experienced political campaigner, having worked on federal elections since 1996 at local, State and national levels.
Jennifer also has a background in international relations. She completed her Master of Arts in International Relations in 1994 and her subsequent tertiary studies have focused largely on the relationship between Governments and media at both domestic and international levels.
Jennifer has excellent media contacts Australia wide and has developed close working relationships with the senior journalists in the Canberra Press Gallery over more than a decade.
