Jonathan Gaul is a well-known Federal Government issues management and communications specialist with wide experience ranging across most Federal portfolios.
He has over 40 years experience in Australian national politics and media as political columnist, Ministerial Adviser and communications strategist, including Federal Press Gallery and Canberra based operations, Government and private. Jonathan is a senior political adviser to many corporations on Federal and State government relations.
His Government experience includes major assignments in media/advertising, press secretary, speech-writing, advertising and general political and public affairs consulting for Prime Ministers, Leaders of the Opposition, Federal Ministers and Departments. Other political experience includes strategy role in every national election campaign since 1972, including the winning 1996, 1998 and 2001 campaigns of the Federal Coalition.
Previously Jonathan was the Political Correspondent for the Melbourne Sun Pictorial and The Canberra Times. He is a member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia, and past President of the International Association of Political Consultants (representing election campaigners in 26 democratic nations). He is also a Life and founding Member of the National Press Club.
