Paula Hannaford has extensive experience in financial and corporate communications and is a Managing Director in GA&Co’s Sydney office.
Paula joined GA&Co in 1999 after an extensive and successful career as a leading financial journalist.
Previous to joining GA&Co Paula was most recently employed as the Financial News Editor for Reuters’ Australian News Service where she was responsible for coordinating real-time coverage of domestic financial markets, company news, commodities, economic indicators/surveys and other market moving information and major news events around Australia.
Since joining GA&Co she has worked on numerous IPOs & Mergers and Acquisitions, as well as crisis management and ongoing corporate communications in a range of industries.
Among notable transaction, Paula recently worked with Australian Leisure & Hospitality Group Limited (ALH) in response to takeover offers from the Woolworths led Bruandwo joint venture, a Coles Myer-Macquarie Bank venture and Newbridge Capital.
Paula also worked on the $2 billion Promina IPO in 2003, which was widely considered a successful stock exchange listing, given the adverse environment and size of the offering. In addition, Paula worked on secondment in-house at Macquarie Bank from October 2003 to June 2004 assisting the bank and their infrastructure and specialist funds with their communications requirements.
