Following his election as Member for Franklin in 2002, Will was appointed Deputy Leader of the Opposition. Will is currently the Shadow Minister for Economic Development, Energy and spokesman on the Royal Hobart Hospital. Will is also a member of a number of Parliamentary Committees.

Will is well known for his involvement in community and sporting activities, and is the patron of number organisations. Will is an active and passionate representative for the people of Franklin.

Will obtained a Law Degree at the University of Tasmania in 1992, and has practiced law in both Tasmania and the England, where he worked as a prosecutor in child care cases.

Will grew up in Kingston, south of Hobart, and has strong family links throughout southern Tasmania. He is married to Nicky, and they have two young sons, William and James. Will and Nicky are expecting their third child in July 2006. Will loves to spend time with his family, and enjoys cooking, music, sport and travelling.

FRANKLIN

Franklin covers an area of approximately 7933 sq km from Bridgewater in the north to Port Davey in the south and Seven Mile Beach in the east. The City of Clarence is in the division of Franklin. Other major towns include Blackmans Bay, Bridgewater, Cygnet, Dover, Franklin, Geeveston, Huonville, Kingston, Margate and Snug as well as Bruny Island.

Products and industries of the area cover apples, pears, small fruits, fishing, beef cattle, sheep, forestry, cottage industry and tourism.
