Jonathan Holmes

Reporter with ABC TV's Four Corners.

Jonathan Holmes has spent more than thirty years in television journalism, mainly behind the camera. Born in Britain, he spent twelve years as a producer for the BBC on programs such as 24 Hours and Panorama.

He came to Australia in 1982 to take over as Executive Producer of Four Corners. Since then he has been Head of ABC TV Documentaries, and Executive Producer of Foreign Correspondent and The 7.30 Report.

As a reporter he worked extensively for Foreign Correspondent during the 1990s, and was in the ABC’s Washington Bureau from 1998-2000. He been a reporter for Four Corners since 2003.

Jonathan Holmes was awarded a Logie award in 1998 for a Foreign Correspondent special on the Balibo Five, and has been a Walkley awards finalist three times.

In 2004 the United Nations Association awarded him a special Silver Award for "sustained excellence over 25 years
