US environmental activist who visited Australia in January 2006 to advise the Geelong Community for Good Life on how to measure air quality adjacent to the Shell Oil Refinery using a low-cost "bucket brigade" testing process he pioneered with world-famous activist Erin Brockovich.

The Australia of 23 January 2006 reported that Mr Larson would "also help locals tackle emissions from the Alcoa plant at Yarloop in Western Australia
