SA Liberal Party site had the following biography on its website before the 2006 election:

Adrian was raised on the family property at Coomandook, managing the family dryland and grazing enterprise for the past 14 years. He and his wife, Sally, are committed to building a positive future in Hammond for their sons, Mack (aged 4) and Angus (aged 1), and for all South Australians. Adrian is a keen supporter of the local and regional community. Adrian is fully committed to ensuring the longevity of sustainable agricultural production in the Hammond region.

HAMMOND

Area: approx. 17708.7km2

Location: In the rural hinterland farming area of SA to the east, south-east of the metropolitan Adelaide, its western boundaries are the River Murray, Bremmer River, Finniss River and Lake Albert while in the east the district extends to the Victorian border.

History: Hammond was created at the 1994 boundary redistribution and was contested for the first time at the 1997 elections. Minor changes were made to the boundaries at the 2003 redistribution.
