David began a furniture manufacturing business after completing his apprenticeship and since then has trained 20 apprentices. He is the Managing Director of his own retail and manufacturing business. David spent 5 years on the board of the Women's and Children's Hospital and 3 years as Chair of the Unley Primary School Council. He is married with 2 children and enjoys family life in Unley.

Area: approx. 12.2km2. The smallest electorate to be contested at the 2006 election.

Location: Unley is south of the Adelaide CBD and parklands, a largely residential area that had no alteration to boundaries at the 2003 redistribution.

History: Created in 1936, effective at the 1938 elections.
