Craig joined Gavin Anderson and Company in November 2005 with an extensive background in government and health policy, having first joined the Howard Government as a staff member in 1996.
He was previously Press Secretary to the Minister for Health and Aged Care, Dr Michael Wooldridge. Craig worked for Dr Wooldridge for four years during a period of significant reform to Australia’s health system.
Craig has also worked in a number of other Federal ministries including Social Security, Ageing and Workforce Participation.
Between 2003 and 2005 Craig was Media Manager and later Executive Officer at the Health Insurance Commission (now Medicare Australia) - the Australian Government agency responsible for administering Medicare and the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme.
Craig has an excellent understanding of political and public service processes and a strong appreciation for media and issues management through his dealings with the Parliamentary Press Gallery.
Craig holds Bachelor of Economics and Arts degrees and a Masters of Management from the Australian National University.
