Brisbane-based Gerald Tooth started with the ABC 10 years ago and since then has worked as a radio journalist and presenter across a wide range of programs. As a journalist he was a correspondent for ABC Radio's flagship current affairs programs AM, PM and The World Today.

He joined Radio National in 2000, working as an investigative journalist with Background Briefing. Since then he has spent time presenting a range of RN programs including Breakfast, Australia Talks Back, Media Report, Law Report and The Sports Factor.

He is married to an incredibly understanding partner who has a real job and with whom he attends daily classes in what life is all about—given by their three endlessly amusing children. Away from work he likes to cycle, surf, cook and imagine taking long, uninterrupted afternoon naps with a good book nearby.
