Massive Rejection of Major Parties in SA Upper House PollTuesday, 21st March, 2006 - The two major parties in Saturday's South Australian upper house election between them managed just 62% of the vote with minor parties and independents between them accounting for 38%. more Poll Trend Continues to Point to LaborSunday, 12th March, 2006 - The opinion polls continue to point to a Labor victory and the bookmakers have reached the same conclusion. The Advertiser poll published in today's Sunday Mail had Labor with 40% of the vote with 12% don't knows and undecided. After distributing that 12% Labor's 45 per cent is more than eight percentage points higher than the actual result at the election in February 2002. more The Pollsters Have Labor Starting the Formal Campaign Well in FrontFriday, 17th February, 2006 The trend of the opinion polls has been consistent in the months leading up to the SA election. Newspoll, which only samples a small number of people in the state and thus accumulates results over three months or so, last had Labor with a 46% share of the vote.
