Saturday, 4th March, 2006 Opponents of a national identity card will seize on the sale by the South Australian Government of a list of more than 150,000 aged people to an American direct marketing company. The list of people holding Seniors Cards was kept by the Department of Families and Communities. The argument that governments can not be trusted to keep information secret is a key plank of the campaign against the proposed Federal ID card.
