Not much doubt in my opinion that the smartest leak out of the Prime Minister’s camp for a while is this one:

Tony Abbott just makes things worse.

And it will take some very creative spinning when the revised spending and revenue figures come out in a couple of weeks for people to understand just what the PM means when he says of the budget “we are making progress every day – we are committed to budget repair” with a determination┬áto end “the crime of inter-generational theft.” The way things are going this Coalition government will end up presiding over the biggest increase in government debt in the country’s history!
